This Week's Movies in Review

Unknown - This movie was pretty good.  Five men wake up in a locked warehouse with absolutly no memory of who they are or how they got there...so who do you trust.  I think the relationships  between the men and their pasts could have been better developed, but all together this was a pretty good movie.  It held you attention, and made you look for details, and twisted up until the final moment of the movie.  I say rent it.

*** - I Liked It

Eragon - This was alright.  If you like Sci-Fi and fantasy movies, then it wasn't completely bad.  I understand that this is based on a best selling book written by a seventeen year old.  I have not read the book, so I am tempted to say it was the screen play and the acting that were weak.  The dialog was cliche and the story line predictable.  Probably for kids, or as a family flick, this movie was great...but for me, I just wasn't rivotted enough.

** - OK

Rocky Balboa - I rented this out of obligation.  My dogs are named Rocky & Adrian, so it just seemed right, plus my husband loved the previous thirty seven Rocky movies, so why not?  Slow.  Boring...but at least it doesn't end with an unrealist win.  Again, this was another movie that wasn't complete crap, but even Rocky fans, I think were let down by this one.

** - OK
