Movie Reviews
I know....I have been slacking. Just a lot going on around here. Let me first say, "I'm Sorry."
OK. we've seen a few movies since we last reviewed.....but I am going to do this quick, because lord knows the phone will ring again and three hours later I'll finally hang up....by then you will be bored with waiting for me.
Deja Vu - This was a good movie. If you like action/drama movies, with twisting plots, and have a small nitch for Sci-Fi, then this is your movie. Not a stretch for Washington, who plays his normal pricky, good guy cop. But the story line makes you think...which I like. Rent it.
Alpha Dog - I was suprised by this movie. It was good...if you're into druggie, young thuds, F-bombing movies. I've come to the conclusion that everyone in California is a drug addicted sex fanatic...but they do it in fancy houses, so they are better than hippies and hookers I guess. This was cool, becasue it was based on a true story....not so cool because it was based on a true story where a 15 year old kid got shot. Timberlake was suprisingly good for his first big screen role. I enjoyed both him and the younger kid in the movie. Another movie I say Rent.
Dream Girls - Didn't even bother opening it....sent it straight over to my mom, and she said it sucked. enough for me.
Code Name the Cleaner - This was a cute family movie. It had a few laughs, and it kept you wondering if he was FBI or a Janitor most of the way through. I would say that if you have kids and are looking for family night, rent this movie.
The Queen - This was alright. I had no expectations for it though...so that helps. I didn't even know what it was supposed to be about, but it followed the Queen (suprise suprise) as the monarchy handled the death of Princess Diana. So if you were a big Diana lover, then you will like this one. I personally don't care that much for the british, and just kept wondering who the guy was the Queen was sleeping with...she's married! Who knew?
Happy Feet - This was great! that little guy made me laugh the minute he hatched. I'm not sure how he got fror the zoo back to the arctic, but it was fun, and cute...and good 80's music involved. Awesome for all ages!
This weekend - Because I said So, Music & Lyrics and Catch and Release.
