This week's Movies in Review

This weekend, we watched two movies, took one more out and the last one never arrived.

Stomp the Yard - I ordered this one thinking as a cheerleading coach.  It was a very good movie....of course a lot of cleche's but altogether a good movie.  I have already purchased the soundtrack to hopefully use some of it in our routine this year, and I firmly believe at this point that we are going to need some break dancers....I say rent it...check the rating, but I can not remember a single swear word in it....so....might be a family flick.

My Family & other Animals - Took it out....it's wierd and english...and you know how I feel about the English (although oddly enough 2 of my favorite movies are british films, Love Actually & Pride and Predjudice...both starring Kiera Knightly....although Im sure that was not exactly what Jane Austin had in mind when she wrote the latter.....never mind, Im babbleing)  so I pulled it out and sent it back.....skip it.

Night at the Museum - Great family movie!  I loved it.  The monkey slapping had me cracking up, and who doesnt laugh when they hear Micky Rooney yell Pile Driver!?  I love Dick Van Dyke too...so he was a treat.  Altogether great movie and worth the long wait I had to see it.  Rent it today!  lol

10 Items or less - never showed up until Tuesday, so we'll watch that this weekend along with a 2001 WWII movie, Enemy at the Gates.  I hope to rent Children of Men on PPV too...but that'll depend on how our weekend plays out.
