Just checking In
Hi....I'm sorry I have been so neglectful again. I don't have much time, but the baby is sleeping, so I am just checking in. Honestly there isn't much to say. Netflix and movies in general are slow coming lately, so I have been watching a lot of older movies that I recorded with the DVR (watching during 3am feedings) The other night we watched Tyler Perrys Daddys little girls. That was a good movie...I say rent it.
So about parenthood....Love it! Our little girl is so beautiful, and sweet, and content. She takes in everything around her and only cries when she is really hungry or hit with the occasional bout of gas...thank god for Mylicon! Other then that she is SMART! already grabbing things and putting them in her mouth, she knows that the bottle plugs the hole again as soon as she burps, she loves her Tickle Toes bear and the Womb bear we call Wobbie. Maybe all this is normal, but at 16 days old, I think she's pretty advanced.
She went back to be weighed Thursday. Aunt Danielle went with us and she weighed in at 6 pounds 13 ounces (Ellie, not Dee) so she has gained almost a full pound since we left the Hosp. I knew she was growing, because when we first started she was swimming in Primee clothes and now her feet almost touch the bottoms and we can see her hands regularly.
She smiles all the time, even at 4 am when I can barley open my eyes, she stares up at me and smiles when I wipe her little mouth....she's adorable, and motherhood is great.
Ok, I hear her stirring, so I better go!
TTYL!
