Remeber the days when Friday nights were reserved for "going out?"  You would wait around for it to get late  enough and then go meet your friends out somewhere, where you would tip a few back, shoot some pool or maybe play the Golden Tee.  All that changes when you have kids.  Actually all of that changed for us many years ago, when we were letting the dogs out before we went to bed at 9:30 instead of putting on your Coolest teeshirt and jeans to go out.  

This past Friday night however, brought something new into my world.  I could not wait to get out of work.  I watched each minute tick past on the clock...I had some place special to be.....I was going to Toys R Us!

So as I headed out to meet the new man in my life, Geoffrey, I laughed at how times have changed.  INstead of looking forward to the weekend to party with friends....I couldn't wait to go toy shopping, so that I could spend it with my family.....and then I thought...how cool would it be if Toys R Us had a cocktail hour for grown ups only!

So I bought my Elmo Peek A Boo Gym, and Pampers wipes, because I was so excited to find a case on sale...and I headed home....I couldn't wait to put the Elmo gym together and play with our sweet little girl.  She loves it!

I guess I'm still playing on a Friday night....jut doing it a little differently now.
