This Week's Movies in Review

300 - This movie was kind of wild.  Graphic in spots, made me cringe a bit (which is hard to do).  I'm not big into all the CGI and digital enhancements, but this thing was pretty awesome.  Not something I would recommend for kids, even if it does look like a video game.  Like I said, graphic, and a bit sexual for a young audience...but it was a good movie.  I'm glad we watched it.

Firehouse Dog - This movie was good.  It had it's cheesy classic family film moments, but all in all it made us laugh quite a bit.  It was a cute story and fun to watch.  Gather the kids and Rent it!

Perfect Stranger - OK...no Balki Bartokomous, but Halle Barry was there so it was worth watching.  She reminded me a lot of Sandra Bullock in this movie.  I am struggling to think right now, of a movie where Barry has actually had to act...I know there was none in her Oscar award winning roll Monster ball...for that she just went on screen with no make up and had gross sex with the disgusting Billy Bob.  But this movie she actually did act.  She had scenes that covered all emotions....she was fired up, dropping F bombs every few minutes, she was funny at times...she was intense.  This was a good movie.  The Flinstones!  There's another movie she was in...oh, but still no acting.  Sorry...back to the movie.  The movie was pretty good, as it kept you gripped until the end....but the twist in the end was a little far fetched....I hate when movies do that.  They lead you through this awesome ride and then give you a completely unimaginable twist at the end.  The moral of the story was kinda cool though....there is no perfect crime...someone is always watching....Oh and get this...Bruce Willis was almost Audible....that's a rarity.
