The Feast of Love, The Jane Austen Book Club and The Ron Clark Story

This was a slow movie weekend.  I will say this though, I just read my 2007 Blog Movie reviews, and I was much better when I first started this...since then I have been slacking off greatly.  For that I apologize.  I will try to do better...but not on this one.

The Feast of Love - This movie was slow and lifeless.  I really didn't see any reason for seeing every single one of them (with the exception of Morgan Freeman) buck naked having sex...repeatedly.  But the end of the movie was sad.  I did cry a little, and I did get the message.  I would say skip this one though.

The Jane Austen Book Club - I liked this movie.  Tear jerker chick flick, but what did you think it would be?  I liked the way each of their lives resembled Austen's novels at some point along this journey...but that is the point I guess.  I will admit that I only know three of the stories...I'm still l working my way through each of the novels (I'm a slow reader) What I didn't like was that Brennema's character forgives that slut of a husband of hers, but I guess that was the point of Persuasion.  I was pleased with the choices that the remaining women made for themselves however.  I say rent it.

The Ron Clark Story - I know this is an old flick, but we had only seen a few minutes here and there and wanted to see it all...it was a back up movie.  We both enjoyed it a lot.  It's a great story that more teachers should watch and connect with.  It reminded us very much of Freedom Writers.
