I know the 80's is called the Decade of Decadence....but it wasn't all bad.  I mean there were the shoulder pads, and spandex...that was not good...like for sure...and then there was that tiny hole our Aquanet and Rave hair sprays may or may not have put in the Ozone.....but there were good things too.  Of course Hair bands...every one will agree with that.  But what about the banana comb?  No one ever talks about the banana comb....I for one miss it terribly.  I looked so good with my big hairy mohawk running down the middle of my head.  The way the hair would loosely flow over the sides and fill out the back and top.  I have natural curly freak show hair, so it spends most of its time in a pony tail...my fat head would look so much better if the hair were spread out more like the way the banana clip used to do. 

Hhhmmm, I wonder if I still have one laying around somewhere....it's probably in a box with my Flash dance torn sweatshirt and my pink leg warmers.....ug.


Remember how you would try to get it in as tight as you could, and it would get caught on every little snarls, so you would pull even harder at it?  By the time you got it clipped together, you would have a small piece of bangs stuck in the clip part making you want to cry, but you dare not start over, and it would be pulled so tight, that you would have slant eyes?  Then one last touch....gently put your pick in the front and tug at the bangs to give them just a little 80's lift, and maybe pull out a curl by each ear...you know to look dressy!
