Sunny D?
Have you seen that commercial for Sunny D? The one where the Soccer Mom is loading her older kids into the Mini Van and says, 'I was raised on Sunny D, and now that's all I give my kids....' or something like that.
Now this bugs me....The woman in that commercial is very close to my age, so I just don't believe that she was "Raised" on it! Where you raised on Sunny D? I never even heard of it until I was in High School.
I was raised on Tang...the stuff that the astronauts took to the moon....so was every other generation X'er. We were hopped up on Orange crystaled sugar...nothing healthy like stupid Sunny D.

I totally agree with you. I am in my mid 50's and raised on Tang as well. The commercial has really bugging me and again I saw it this morning which prompted me to google Sunny D and Tang. That's when I saw you blog. I also saw and article about Sunny D. Well I guess it was a beverage down in Florida during the same time as Tang was out nationally. I'm in the midwest, so perhaps Sunny D was not distributed up here. The article stated that Sunny D and Tang are the only orange type drinks that survived from that era. So I guess they are not the same!
