Margot at the Wedding, Enchanted and Emma

What the hell was the name of that first one?  OH ya....

Margot at the Wedding - OMG this movie sucked.  What was Kidman thinking...although I never like her anyways, but this was one of those odd quirky movies that never really tells you whats going on.  It's like the whole thing is one big inside joke and you're not going to be let in on it.  And I hate movies where the characters are having random and strange conversations and as they talk the camera moves to the tissue she just discarded into the toilet after blotting her lips....what is that?  It was just weird and boring.  Skip this sucker completely.

Enchanted - I was not hopeful....I learned there would be singing and I just wasn't looking forward to it.  Turns out that there isn't that much actual singing and the story itself was kind of cute....the chipmunk being the best character of course.  Adams' face must have hurt at the end of each shooting day from that ridiculous smile she has to wear, but altogether it was a cute movie for little girls...and their mothers...I guess.

Emma - This movie is much older, but I had never seen it.  About half way through, she referred to Mr. Elton and something hit me like a ton of bricks...I have seen this movie....but it was in 1995 and stared the chick from the Aerosmith videos.....Clueless!  The whole thing was suddenly very familiar to me.  The "like a brother," character she doesn't know she has feelings for until someone else likes him...the someone else being a looser that she takes under her wing....the guy she thought she liked, but then realized that she only had "luke warm" feelings for....holy crap!  So I looked it up on IMDB.com...cause I go there for EVERYTHING...and there ya have it..Clueless....Emma meets 90210...DAMN.  So back to Emma....it was a nice enough movie.  If you like Austen, and you like period movies, then this is a nice one to rent.

Regarding Margot At The Wedding, maybe you should stick to movies that don't need you to think or lead you by the nose from beginning to end. Another advice, try to read up on Nicole Kidman next time you see her name attached to a movie, 9 times out of 10, her movies are in the same vein as MATW better yet, maybe you should stick to Disney.

What, were you in this stupid movie?  If you would notice, I did say that I don't typically like Kidman's movies....so ya, they are all usually in the "same vein," and I usually have the same opinion about them.  I'm sure you love all her movies just like the rest of the bandwagon movie goers, but it just was not for me.

As for think or don't think, and lead by the nose...puhl...ease.  On this review, I will admit, you got me...I did say that it felt like an inside joke that we, the viewer, were not let in on, but it had nothing to do with being too lazy to have to think.  Honestly it wasn't that hard to figure this movie out, but I just didn't feel compelled to at any point.  This movie did nothing for me.  It did not make me feel attached to a single character.  It never made me laugh, or cry, or concerned for anyone...not even the damn tree.  I felt nothing.  It was so bland and uncommunicative that I just didn't care what the hell happened to any of them.  I didn't like it.  That's all I can say.  And yes, I like Disney very much...so does most of the free world, I suppose you take issue with that as well.
