The Secret Of Life

I listened to Faith Hill this morning sing about the Secret of Life.  So I spent the past week contemplating the secret to my life.....here is what I found....

  • My daughter's Laugh
  • My husband in his baseball Cap
  • Clean Sheet Day
  • Flipping channels thinking there's nothing on and then finding The Sandlot
  • At the most hectic and stressful moments in this house I turn around to find my 80 pound Boxer puppy grinning at me...and when I acknowledge him...even with the shortest smile, his whole body shivers in delight.
  • Finding the perfect fitting bra
  • The way my horse nickers when I step out of the truck...and how he is better behaved then any of my three dogs.
  • The postman bringing me a letter in the mail
  • The fact that Cavallo's has a wonderfully vast menu, yet every single time we go, I will lecture my husband about trying something new and we'll both order the same thing...Raviolis for me and stuffed shells for him..we'll split an order of meatballs, and of course Greens Ala Cavallo to start us off.
  • How he points to the item on the menu when he tells the waitress about his stuffed shells.
  • Sitting at the open barn door on a rainy day....mmmmmm....can you smell it?
  • Chatting with Old friends
  • Better yet...finding old friends
  • My Favorite Hoodie with bite size peanut butter cups in the "roo pouch"
  • When the right song comes on the radio that fits your mood perfectly
  • Seeing my daughter discover the world for the first time
  • Getting stuck behind a farmer in his tractor
  • When someone actually reads something I wrote (without me asking them to...like my blog)

These are the things that I take such delight in....the things that make me feel good from the inside out

But what I ask myself now is....Why is it a secret?

I'm certain I'll be adding to this list as my days go on.......
