Movie Marathon from My Death Bed

OMG I have been so sick.  Sunday I woke with a soar throat....of course the night before was Ladies Night, so I just attributed the throat thing to all the singing, laughing, and Yee-hawing (cause I live in the stix) But by Sunday night I had the chills something terrible.  By Monday morning I was back and forth between chilled to the bone and sweating profusely.  Tuesday I went to the Doctor.  A Viral infection....she gave me Z Pak Antibiotics and cough medicine with Codeine....yeah....I still felt like crap and slept for two days straight, still chilling and sweating...simultaneously on occasion.  Yesterday was the most normal I had felt, and even that sucked....but I laid on the floor, couch, recliner and anywhere else that would have me and watched a marathon of movies.

I started with One Crazy Summer....an 80's classic....just a fun and light comedy....Bob Goldthwait...he was the best in the 80's!  That was followed by Must Love Dogs...I know 2 Cusack movies in a row....but you can never get too much of him, can you?  Next came Return to me.  Now that's a heart wrenchingly sweet movie, that I can watch time and again...and always cry.    By this time General Hospital was on.....so I took a movie break for that.... Then I continued my romantic/drama/comedy run with one of my favorites...Love Actually.  I love this movie....but what I have come to realize after seeing it a million times, it that there are only a few parts I actually like in this movie except for the ending.  I love the Hugh Grant parts...specially his dance.  I love the wedding and the moment when Knightly realizes that he has not warmed to her, because he's in love with her....I love the Englishman and his Portuguese house keeper....and Miss Dunkin Donut 2003!  but what I can never wait for is the ending...from the minute Grant start ringing doorbells in his search for Natalie, to the part where Joanna kisses the young boy goodbye...I just love it.....then in the very end...the closing song and credits all played while random people are greeting one another in the airport...well that just makes me cry.  I just love it...I Actually do...LOL.

So after that I went back to cable to watch Big Brother (I am ashamed to admit) but then continued down my movie going streak with Tora Tora Tora!  LOL...yes that is how I wrapped up my romantic comedy day....with the greatest war movie of all time....a movie I grew up hating because you have to read most of it...LOL.

Today I still feel like crap, although I have returned to work...I'd rather still be in bed....my head is spinning and I keep thinking I may be sick, although I have not vomited yet...yeah, I guess.

I hope to be back to my old self soon...I pray....
