The Burp Cloth

My husband has this crazy, incomprehensible ability to always loose the Burp cloth.  It's kind of become a standing joke in our house.  But at times, it's also somewhat frightening...lol.

We have a simple system here.  Our main bottle feeding station for baby is our beautiful new $700.00 Lazy Boy  recliner.  The current bib while not in use goes on the top of the chair over your left shoulder.  The burp cloth over the right.  They are always there and easily accessible.  I have no trouble with this concept and find myself at peace while feeding our darling daughter.

My Husband however...well....another story.

I don't know if it's the way he gets into and out of the chair...if it's to rough...too much animated motion or what....but whenever he goes for the burp cloth...it is MIA.  Most of the time he is sitting on it.  Other times it's on the floor or wrapped in the baby's cloths.  It's an easy fix really.....don't be so lazy.  Wipe the child's mouth and then place it on top of the chair again over your right shoulder...but Nooooo...he has to lay it on the arm of the chair....leave it on her tummy.....set it on the pillow behind her head (on the left side)....And of course if I mention this simple process to him, I am anal...lol...Anal, yes....but I always know where the burp cloth is.

Instead he looses it every single time he touches it....most days we laugh, but sometimes his ridiculous fits while searching for it, remind of a day when he dropped to the floor and started wildly punching the old recliner when the foot rest refused to go down.

Now don't get me wrong...he is the most mild mannered person in the world...he just gets frustrated sometimes....and Ellie and I get to try not to giggle as it all unfolds in our living room.

At least he's entertaining!
