Walk Hard, Juno, Georgia Rule and P2

Walk Hard - OK...I love a good comedy...my father raised me on Mel Brooks so it was inevitable...I love a good spoof movie as well.  However I am not a big fan of the over the top, trying too hard for the laugh type comedies, like Blades of Glory and T. Nights...with that said...this movie was fun.  Now, I never saw Walk the Line, so I don't know how much of it spoofed that movie, but I am told it was a close running.  All in all, this movie made me laugh, and didn't feel like it was trying too hard.  The characters were easy to like.  I would say rent it for a stupid laugh.

Juno - This is my new favorite movie of all time.  Watching Garner and Bateman, and what they went through in meeting Juno and expecting was very personal...that is until Bateman wigs out on his wife.  The ending just had me sobbing....it touched home.  I was holding my sleeping baby crying my eyes out as Juno cried over her loss and Garner's character wondered what she looked like.....I LOVED this and recommend it to everyone.

Georgia Rule - Why did I watch this movie?  I hate Jane Fonda...she's a commy...I still have not gotten over that.  I also hate Lohan.  She's just irritating...and doesn't ever do any real acting.  I do like Hoffman though, so I tuned in.  I had never even put this in my Netflix que because of the for mention dislike for the actors, but it was on HBO so I watched.  First off...I think this is how Lohan acts in real life, so that disturbed me.  Also I was irritated with whether or not she was lying about the abuse.  It just kept going back and forth and just got on my nerves.  Lohan is such a boring, monotoned actress that I never felt any type of connection to her character.  I never felt bad for her, or happy for her....she was fine for Disney, but she needs to step it up a bit to cut it in the real world of movie making I think.  I did like the ending....the merry bunch of losers rallying to the rescue, but that was it.  Skip it.

P2 - I almost didn't watch this movie.  With my husband's schedule what it is, I seem to have a hard time with scary thrillers these days.  I'm always seeing shadows and people lurking.  This wasn't too bad though.  It was a good movie...it kept me worried for her and pissed off that the cops just missed her....but it wasn't so over the top that I was afraid of my own shadow when the sun went down.  This didn't help my fear of parking garages, I will say that...but it was a good movie...I say rent it.
