Venture
I don't usually do poetry. I was randomly singing to my daughter when this came about...but sadly (for me) it turned from a rhyme about "You can do anything" inspiration into breaking out and doing the "Double Dog Dares" of this world...not sure if that's a subconscious thing or just the way the rhyme sounded best.
Venture
I'd like to dance in the Rain.
I have many thoughts to entertain.
Try what I never would dare,
Pass by signs that read beware.
I'd like to live my life free,
I want to live my life for just me.
Find what I know is true,
Maybe find the love that I know lies in you.
I'll live my life without any plan,
Throw my cautions straight into the winds.
Outstretch an open hand,
Peel back layers that transcend.
I'd like to do things I never should,
Be the things you said I never could.
Finally find my own true,
See in me the things that you never do.

OK..I have thought about this...No way is this poema Subconscious thing. I don't have fears or have I ever even tried to abide by signs that say beware.
This is a girl that climbed every tree in the forrest (without a dare) jumped 4 & 5 foot fences with no stirrups (for fun) I will walk up to anyone at anytime and talk to them, pants them, sing to them...I have no fears in life...I grab it by the horns and Ride!
I guess now what I have to do is write this poem again, but with the message I originally intended it to have...to tell my daughter that her life is her's for the taking!
I'll be back with that....soon I hope.
