OK...in Junior high Michele Sucheski taught me a little hand gesture/sign language thing that went along with those words sung by Prince & The Revolution.

She made me believe that he did that in the music video and she studied and learned it to be cool like him, (Prince that is...cool?  hmmmm?) 

I did not have MTV...another story for another time...goes along with the Beta max and InTelevision.  But I digress. 

Not having MTV I believed her.  I have never seen the video to this very day and I have NEVER seen anyone else do this thing. 

So now I wonder...20 years later if it was ever real, or did she make the whole thing up trying to be cool? 

That's gonna bug me until I find out....I'll try to get back to you on this...
