Is it weird that hearing Russia's recent military actions on the news is comforting to me?

I liked when we were at war with them.  It was a Cold War.  No one got killed.  We knew exactly who our enemy was.  We knew we could never reach them.  More importantly we knew they could never reach us.  Our enemy had a clear face and a set location.  The stale mate was even warranted at the time.

I don't know, maybe it's nostalgic, but it's reassuring to me to hear us in talks with them then all of this Arab Nation/Iraq/Al-Qaeda garbage. 

I can handle Russia.
