Fun in The Winter Time

From little Primates in the summer trees we turned into digging gophers in the winter weather.  We used to tunnel all the way around the one side of their house.  Alec and I would start at one end and Jenn at the other and we’d meet in the middle, unless it collapsed half way through.  Then we would have to start all over again somewhere else.

We were big on huge snowball forts too.  The nice little igloo making snow brick things you could buy at the stores were never really good for us.  They never worked well or gave us our desired result.  We instead would build the whole fort out of snowballs.  And not normal snowballs, but giant mutant looking balls.  We would first put them all the way around one of the dog’s runs, so that they would be trapped inside.  Then we would build our fort around a tree in the yard.  Then like clock work the setting and the story would follow.  We were either from outer space and that was our ship, or we were lost Eskimos.  What ever we felt like being that day.  We had the power of imagination on our side and it was endless.
