Fishy Update
So last time we talked "Fish" we had so many babies that we couldn't even count them. I finally called the fish store in New York Mills and they said they'd be happy to take them off our hands.
So the other day I held the bag as Brett 'fished' them out with the net. We counted 55 baby fish as he scooped them out two and three at a time. I explained to them that they were going to a new home and that I was sorry. Then I told the few we left remaining in the tank that they were the lucky ones and had survived the first round cuts....then I tried to console the adults. We have one that is so depressed that she sits by the wheel of the old car in the tank and refuses to swim. I think she wishes it could run her over and put her out of her misery....Brett thinks she's having more babies....ug.
It's just depressing to break up a family like that....and I can't even think for one second what happened to our babies. He told Brett that he had a baby tank out back where he would put them. I hope that isn't code for shark bait. I just won't think about it.
It's moments like this, where I wish I had never seen Finding Nemo.....damn you clown fish family.
