Ap-PEL!
My daughter tries very hard to say Apple. She actually does it quite well considering she is picking a two syllable word as one of hr firsts. But sometimes randomly when she's hungry she calls our Ap-PEL! and holds the second syllable.
This reminds me of something.....

Last night on the way home I got our takeout like usual. I think she could smell the fries in the bag next to me. She kept calling out, Ap-PEL! Ap-PEL!
Suddenly it hit me!
Hey Ab-BOT!!
It's from Robin Hood Men in Tights! That's what it reminds me of...every time they see the abbot, the random guy calls that out!
Finally....I out my finger on it!
(P.S. I know I am spelling Apple wrong....it's for grammatical effect.)
