My husband taught Ellie how to spit the other day.  yeah.....  Actually I was only upset because Aunt Danielle and I wanted to teach her how to do it properly in the barn....but oh well.

So Saturday night she stood on the counter in the bathroom and watched herself make faces in the mirror as I tried to get pictures with my cell phone to send to her Daddy.  It took a slightly disgusting turn when she went from sticking her tongue out to making spit bubbles....and sucking them back in!  I quickly switched my phone to video to try and get a clip of my sweet little girl....creating a very long bout of drooling spit that hung down past the tip of her chin...and then watched her SUCK IT BACK IN!!!  It was just like the scene from Big Daddy.  I wish I could have gotten it better on video.

But my Big Daddy weekend did not end there.

Sunday we dug out the holiday decorations and waited for Els to go to bed so we good get the bulk of it set up while she slept.  She woke from her nap early and she ended up falling back to sleep in my arms in the living room.  I sat and watched the Buffalo Bills get out their nicest silver serving tray, polish it up and serve to the Jets the entire game, as well as their last shot at the playoffs.
As I watched my stomach growled and Brett was kind enough to get me a small bowl of chips.  I very quietly set each individual Frito in my mouth and then tried as hard as I could not to "crunch."  Once again a scene from Big Daddy.  My husband laughed as he watched me quietly work my way through the bowl of chips.

Lastly....the game was over...and that brought me to a very famous quote said in this house a lot lately:


"The Goddamn Jets."
