Egyptian Cotton.....that's what my new bed sheets say on the package.


The Saturday after Christmas I woke up around 4 am to pee....now usually the dead tired soul can't wait to fall back into their comfy bed and wrap in their warm blankets.  I actually stood there for a moment contemplating the floor before climbing back inside.  When we both woke at seven, I told my husband that we were buying a new bed that very afternoon.

So we did....a Stearns and Foster pillow top, firm mattress.

Then we had to wait for delivery.

My new bed arrives tomorrow and since we were getting a mattress to last us for another 12 years we went up a size. 

I ordered all my new bedding from that arrived yesterday via UPS.

I have one set of Sateen sheets, and one set of 800 thread count Egyptian Cotton sheets. 

Now this would have never meant anything to me before MTV Cribs debuted a few years ago.  I had no idea that thread count meant comfort.  I had no idea there was cotton made in Egypt !! (haha)  Of course they are all getting like two thousand thread counts, but I have never had anything made over 500 count, so I went balls to the wall, and went ahead and splurged on these nice suckers.....I am feeling very special and very spoiled with my new purchase.

I just can't wait to see if there really is a difference in how they feel.  Will I get a better nights sleep...will I feel as though I have been wrapped in soft silky chocolate? 

There's no telling...and honestly I just hope I can sleep uninterrupted for once...no more waking up in pain....I hope

I JUST CAN NOT WAIT!!!!
