Tearing Down the House(s)

So last night as we went to bed, we were a full street of homes.

Brett reported however at 8:30 this morning that Cardillo's house was gone!

Holy crap, that was fast.  I saw the giant destroyer go by the house yesterday and get unloaded in their driveway...I really paid no attention to it though, because there's been so much lately that comes and goes on this little street that know one even knows is here.

So nosily, after a run to the post office, I took a turn around the cul-de-sac.  Not only is Cardillo's gone, but Ferguson's house is demolished as well!  Tonight, that remains in a pile of rubble.  I guess tomorrow I will once again watch them carry people's homes away in semi-tractor trailers load after load.

It really is very sad.  Sad for two reasons.

One, those were people's homes...their memories.

Two, there are so many people in this world that need a home and we just ripped them right down and thought nothing of it.

Regardless, the landscape is changing my friends I think the Senior Gozzi's are probably feeling a bit naked this evening.
