So a few days ago I returned the paddock boots my parents got me for Christmas.  I wanted zip up pads' and they got me laced. 

It turns out the zipper bothered the front of my ankle, so I ended up getting a different style.  Once again I have lace ups however they zip in the back for easy on and off.

They were $139.00.

Now that's about average...especially for Ariat Boots...and they will be with me for most likely 15 more years.

But I laughed later at the fact that woman every day spend that kind of money on heels.  On shoes they'll wear maybe  just a few times before they toss them for being out of style.  I however, hemmed and hawwed over spending the money on boots that I will wear the soles right out of over the next decade as I walk through countless piles of horse shit!

I need to change my thought approach to just feeling slightly spoiled and enjoy my new footwear.
