So this morning I got up and trotted down the hall (ok, so it was more of a drag) to my office.  I signed on to work and found an email request from UHC asking me to complete an I-9 Form.  I read on to find out that it is used to verify my US Citizenship.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?  Do YOU KNOW WHO I AM??!!!!

First of all, I have worked for this company for thirteen years with out a problem.  But let me elaborate on what really enrages me!

I was born in a Hospital (not really a water tower like previously stated) on the largest nuclear Air Base in the history of the United States....from there I was bounced around for the next twelve years between the three largest Air Force Bases in the country at the time.  I lived...literally slept, one mile from our country's nuclear weapons cash. 

In Addition to that!  My Great, great, great, great Grandfather, WROTE OUR NATIONAL ANTHEM....for the Love of GOD!

I am an American...from the truest and deepest sense.  If you cut my, I will literally and factually bleed red, white and BLUE! (with a little bulldog green mixed in there...it's quite pretty actually.) 

Now I know I'm overreacting and I'm not about to go flying off half cocked and dig in my heels refusing to fill out their stupid form that from what I have learned everyone fills out upon hiring...I want to keep my job in today's economy.  I'm just pissed.  It makes me so angry that immigrants just keep running right over the borders.  That ships bound to America for a better life just keep pulling into our harbors.  That the Bosnians and other refugees are given thousands of dollars by our government, a place to live and then reside here tax free.  And then Me!  Me, you and your American neighbor are forced to fill out forms to verify our Citizenship.  People that were born here.  People who have an actual God given right to what America offers....people who are five and six generations deeply woven into the fabric of this great nation.  I have recently been looking into joining the D.A.R. for goodness sake....that's how back my threads travel through our cloak of freedom. 

Perhaps if they would fix this illegal immigration issue, and maybe have the book that Mother Liberty holds flash 'No Vacancy," then maybe we wouldn't have a half a million people (United States Citizens) standing in the unemployment lines, while the Mexicans and the refugees work illegally under the table literally for beans.

Who knows....Just bites my ass that I have to even receive an email like this from my employer. 


Maybe companies are updating paper work because of this new economic stimulus plan is going to go into effect.


Maybe I was actually secretly brainwashed and trained as a small child by our government like Sydney Bristow on Alias to be a super spy, killing machine, and I'm about to be called into service...(I've had this theory for a long time)

Maybe my co-worker is right and our Human Resource department is now in India and someone there screwed up (how would that be for Irony)

I'm sure it was just an error...maybe someone typed the wrong Batson, or lost a paper I signed 13 years ago...what-ev.  I emailed HR and asked....I'll take it from there.
