The Twilight Saga

So where have I been you wonder?  (or maybe you don't)  But I have been consumed by the saga that is Twilight!

I watched the movie the week that it was released on DVD...twice.  And, I still want to see it again.  I enjoyed it so much so, that I wondered what happened next to them all.

So I decided I'd read the books.  That way I would know what to expect in the next movie, New Moon.

Well that was a ol' big, fat mistake...lol.  I have been unable to put these books down...and I don't even know why!!  Twilight itself was good, but I knew what to expect for the most part, from the movie.  New Moon was just as gripping, however I sped through that one in an effort to be reunited with Edward and stop reading about werewolves.  Still, none the less, a very good book.

I read those first two in one week...New moon actually over a weekend.  Now, if you've been following along with me, you know that it takes me sometimes four months to get through a 200 page book.  These were four and five hundred pages each, and I did it in one week...that's how enthralled I was.

Last week, I read Eclipse.  This one was frustrating to me because I figured out what was happing very early on and my hero Edward did not get it.  That made me mad.  None of the Cullens in fact were catching on.  It also ticked me off again when stupid Bella not only finds her life in danger again!!  But now her heart is being pulled in two different directions even as her two lovers fight together to save her worthless life.  I just don't see what is so captivating about this selfish, childish, careless little girl.  There is no way that she is cut out for the Cullens.  She has no self control and is completely reckless.  Regardless, I do hang on her every word and hope for it all to work out.

Yesterday I began Breaking Dawn...the final and seven hundred page conclusion to the saga....ug.  One hundred pages in, and I think I already see where this is heading but I will keep reading and pay close attention.

My biggest fear when this is complete, is that I will feel completely empty.  The only lives I have been concerned about for the past two weeks are those of Stephanie Meyer's Forks, Washington.  I know I will miss them when they are gone, and I also know that my insomnia will kick into overdrive as I try to continue the story in my head.

As far as a book review goes....READ THEM ALL!!!  They are really that good.
