We Don't Wear Dresses on Sunday

I just denied my daughter a change into a dress. 

She requested a crown and I laughed, then she asked for a dress. 

I told her, "we don't wear dresses on Sunday.  We watch football."

How backwards is that?  When we were young,  most kids had a dress specifically made for Sundays for church...and here I'm telling her she can't have one!

LOL
