Every night at dinner my husband tries to force my daughter to eat more.  He's not alone in this, I offer her food over and over again as well. 

She's just not a good meal time eater.  She's more of a grazer and not so big on sitting at the dinner table and consuming a meal. 

Still we keep trying.

On the days that we really push and push at her to eat more, I can't help but think of Elmer from Little House on the Prairie.  That poor kid just wanted to be thin for Nancy.  And then there's the scene at the table where Elmer's mom is trying to get his little brother to eat more and they do the Piggie thing...and I'm like OMG....

            ....        there we are.
