Comfy Clothes
Last night I ran out to pick up Monday Night Football pizza and wings at Charlie's.
26 degrees out side.
I jumped in the truck in just my new Drysdale Hoodie that makes me flash back to the 91' Tulsa trip, my VERY worn deer skin lined Carhart work gloves, my Columbia hiking boots....and my best barn jeans.
I felt good.
I felt awesome!
It was only 26, but it wasn't cold. Even more, there's been talk lately about how I'm getting thin skinned in my old age....that I can't handle the weather any longer.
na, ... that's not it.
I am just as tough as I've ever been, and I can't help but wonder what someone from the south, or sunny LA might think if they walked out side last night?? Would they have thought me crazy? Am I crazy?
Nope. Just a native.
I actually took my gloves off at one point to scratch my nose and almost left them off...then I realized they made me cool. Even though no one else could see me, I felt cool. Like I am part of some kind of secret north eastern, country club.
I guess sometimes you don't have to get decked out to feel cool. You don't have to be dressed to the nines, or have the low cut boob shirt on...you just have to be comfortable in your own person...in your own skin...and in your own barn jeans...Last night, alone in my pick up truck, I felt awesome!
