What on earth has happened to the Freihofer cookie???

They were always my favorite.  In fact I remember when we moved to Nebraska, if anyone came to visit my mother would instruct them to bring her a box! 

Sadly, I established a few years ago that they no longer agree with me.  So I don't ever get them.  Earlier this week, I asked Brett to bring them home with him from the corner store.  We both marveled at how disgusting they have become.  They are little plops of cookie...barely even taking a cookie shape...and what I've noticed as well, is that they are so short stacked and chubby that they seem uncooked all the way through.  They are just gross.

I am very saddened by this...but at the same time, relieved that I am no longer missing out on the once greatest cookie.


Just to be clear...I did eat the entire box though...can't let four bucks go to waste....
