This Week in Review

It's been some kind of week, I tell ya.  Full of ups and downs...

Saturday I opened the mail and found $890.00 refunded to us by our mortgage company.  In the very next envelope I found a letter regarding a class action law suit on behalf of UHC employees regarding our 401K's.  I was awards $300+ dollars.  Now I don't have that money in hand, but it was deposited into my 401K account.  So I made almost $1200.00 just by sitting on my couch and opening my mail on Saturday.  (Thats cool)

Sunday Ellie pee'd on the new laptop and now it won't work.

Monday, I spent the morning investigating and planning a possible winter holiday in Lake Placid!  Nothing is set in stone, but it might be a lot of fun and I'm excited!

Tuesday, Brett broke my heart and crushed my 2010 dream.  That's ok though, I'm trying to understand.

Tuesday night, we spent playing with our new Grocery list maker!  It magnetically hangs on the fridge.  You press the button and speak into it what you need to get next time you are out.  It's pretty cool.

Wednesday was the busiest of all.  I spent the day looking up travel trailers and trying to narrow down the search to what we really want in the way of a camper.  Then hell bent on getting my next book out into the world, I made a purchase for a cover design package through lulu.com.  Then!  I bought three tickets to Sesame Street Live to take our little girl to in March!

I later found that this cover package I purchased does no illustrations.  You simply submit to them the title/author information along with any pictures you want to use and they design it.  (I could have done that - in fact I have on all my other books)  So I re-read the package info they provide before you commit to it and no where does it say anything of that sort.  I have to look into it more, but I think I am getting my money back on that one....or I can upgrade to the $500.00 package...no thanks!

So back to square one on the book, however I've been reading it all week and still love it!

I then went to Fairway and had a nice ride with my friends...ever jumped a bit, only to return home and find Verizon calling me.  I am do for an upgrade so they were reviewing my account.  Apparently, according to them, I am paying way more then I need to for the services I use.  He got me unlimited text messaging and online access for one fixed lower price then I am currently paying...no hidden fees....cause I asked him...three times. lol  Then he convinced me to come down this weekend and get a new phone...which I shall!

Today!  I woke up to find a Macro upgrade on my work PC disabled almost all fo my tools...my hands were quite tied and I could not do much of anything.  I spent 20 minutes myself trying to fix it before finding myself on the telephone with our Macro guy for another 40 minutes while he took control of my PC and tried desperately to fix me.  Then he had to get to another call and made me sit tight until he got back to me a half hour later.  Fun, Fun.  Finally though, he did get me working again.

I've spent a few minutes looking at cell phones, but I really need to hold them.  Tonight is the second to last class for Ellie and I at Kindermusik.  I'm relieved and sad.  They are very stressful lately but at the same time, I will miss every one.  Maybe we can start again in the fall.  At least Brett doesn't have to work tonight though and we can spend some time together as a family...that is until he and Ellie are home all day together tomorrow while I'm trying to work the most stressful, reports are due!, day of my work week.

oh well...all's well that ends well.

Oh other good news!  Maggie is Potty trained!  The only messes I'm scrubbing out of the carpet now are Ellies!  woo-hoo!
