Never Dull

Tuesday evening, I jumped on my BlackBerry and went on to friends about how amazing my life it!

Standing in the back yard with my daughter, I typed my joy over Fox's feet all heeled finally from the White Line disease and how much I love my new horse... my daughter proceeded to drop her pants and attempt to pee in the yard... however she isn't a talented enough pee-er quite yet.  Instead she pee'd all over my foot and my L.L. Bean flip flops.  yuck.  [life however, still amazing!]

Last night as I put dinner on the table for the two of us, Ellen played in the back yard.  By the oak tree for the duration, I knew she was playing with caterpillars.  She didn't come when I called her inside, so I went all the way out onto the deck to see her.  I found her standing beside the great oak, holding her dress in the air, and her little Ariel panties down around her flip flops...  oh-no, I though...not again.  I ordered her to pick up her britches and come in the house.  She of course kept her present state of being and began hobbling towards me.  Afraid she'd fall, I met her half way ... only to find her panties were pretty dirty.  I then stopped and processed the situation.  "Ellie, did you pee pee... or did you poop?"

"I Pooped."  she told me.

I couldn't even go look... I had no energy.

I scooped her up and brought her right into the tub where I washed her up for dinner.  (I should mention we had to stop once for her to scratch, because her butt was itchy....well ya, I told her, you probably have poop in your crack!)

So fast forward now to this morning...  I stood in the dining room just now as daddy was trying to find Lalee and I was saying goodbye to my dear sweet daughter for the day.  I notice suddenly something laying against the base board (no, not more poop)  I let out a  little yell, and Brett came to see what I freaked about.  I pointed to the feathery heap, and he jumped back with a very girl like yell!  It was a dead bird!!  Now on a normal day where Ellie might have been outside playing, I would have wonder who exactly brought it inside....but today she was not outside, which leaves only one culprit!  Maggie!!  lol  The funny thing was that all three of them...the two dogs and the cat...all sat there with me in the dinning room and paid no attention to it at all!  how long had it been there?!?!!?  LOL  My friend suggested they were just playing dumb.  LOL

anyway... never a dull moment around here!!

Have a good day!
