Tonight at dinner, out of the blue, Ellie reminded me that Uncle Dan had passed away.

I nodded and sadly said, "yes, he did."

Next she told me, " when he gets better he will come back."

I told her (with a closed mind) "I don't think it works that way."

"Ya it does." she told me with certainty.

Finally I opened up my mind a little bit, and asked her, "will he come back as Uncle Dan, or as someone else?"

She looked at her Macaroni and answered, "as someone else."


She's two and already has a stance on reincarnation.  

        .... I hope she's  right.
