Ellie was very excited for her first day of school.  She couldn't get out the door fast enough when I said let's get dressed!  Believe it or not she ditched the leotards and put on a really cute long sparkly shirt she calls a dress and some leggings.  She also made a last minute decision to change from the silver sparkly shoes to sensible black ones. 

She was not a fan of the picture session so there are not very many good pictures.

Once we got to school she started to back away and say that she didn't want anyone to see her.  By the time we reached her classroom she didn't even want to go inside.  I showed her her name up on the big puzzle wall outside the classroom and swooped her inside.  We found her name on her cubby and hung up her bag.  Over organized mommy however never put her name on anything and now I just want to go back there with a marker and label stuff.  What was I thinking!  

After we hung up her bag, and I snuck LaLee inside of it, we tried to put her name tag on her but she refused.  Mrs. Acee knows Ellie, so she said don't worry about it.  She was still nervous but I told her to go play.  She did stop at her friend Ella who was sad and didn't want her daddy to leave, but Ella could not be persuaded so our Ellie went off to play.  Mrs. Acee then confirmed that we should just leave.  Sneaking out is best!  LOL  Brett and I along with the Flints walked out with not so much as a "good bye honey have a nice day." 

No name tag, no goodbye... we just left her there...

Now I will watch the clock and be the first one in line to pick her up at 11:45!!!

Next up, We start Ballet today at 4:30... I'm sure I'll have more of the Sept 14th saga to tell...but at least there's a Leotard involved, so she'll be happy!
