Small Motor Skills

Proud Mama Moment coming at ya!

Today after I watched her prance and twirl on her toes for a half hour we came home and I spotted her book bag on the steps in the garage.  I dragged it in with us, unzipped it, took her bun out of her hair as she stripped, pet the dog, pulled out the papers, set my phone on the counter, sipped some water then looked through her papers from today.

They were doing the letter "B" so there were colorings of Big B, Little B and little green bugs she pasted all over it.  There were also some things from the letter "A" that must have had to dry after last class.  A fore arm hand print that created an apple tree.  That was adorable.  Also there was a large apple picture that she colored with markers....perfectly!

To my surprise there was a sticky note pressed to the bottom of the apple picture.

Ellie first Note home from the Teacher!

It read -

"Michelle, Just wanted you to know that Ellie's small motor skills are amazing.  Her coloring is advanced for her age. "  Signed the Teacher

Yes ma'am!  My kid is advanced!!

We have marveled over these things since she was two cays old and holding our fingers.  She was 6 months and sitting with boxes of books, thumbing through them, feeling the pages for lift a flaps, then stacking them beside her.  She organizes and color codes things.  Puts things in huge, tall neat piles...rows...and so on.  She is very particular about every thing and very capable with those small perfect hands.

She's been coloring very well for a while now and can almost write her name.

yes!  She is advanced for her age!!

And seriously, They should see her with a puzzle!
