Big Dog is Everywhere!

So yesterday my husband had fun playing with me.

For Christmas our daughter received a large, life sized stuffed Boxer.  As I walked into my pitch black bedroom and turned on the light, there sat the dog only inches from my leg.  I screamed in terror!

Later I stood up from my office desk, turned around only to find him  sitting in the chair staring at me!

So last night, I picked up the house and everyone went to bed.  Big Boxer retired to the corner of my daughter's room.

Here's where it all gets weird...

I got up at 5:45 this morning.  As I let the puppy out to pee, I began closing the doors down our hallway so that Ryder could not chew anything up while I showered.  There it was again!!  That damned stuffed dog was sitting in the doorway of Ellie's room!!

How did it get there???

When we went to bed last night it was sitting in the corner!!

I stared at it for a  moment and contemplated this occurrence... I wondered what else had happened in the house last night.  Was there someone in here with us???

So I showered a little nervous and feeling a little possession taking over the house...  A little "Go to the Light Carol Anne" happening...

[If you're thinking my husband did this... there's no chance.]

So Ellie finally wakes up and I went to her with a very serious question and I needed her to be honest with me.  I asked her if she played with the dog last night at all, and she said very groggy, "No."

(oh boy...)

A few minutes passed, when she finally saw him in the doorway.  She said,  "look mom, the Meanie put it there".

[Carol Anne, Carol Anne!!!]

I almost died.

What is in my house at night that my 3 year old calls it the "Meanie!"

Suddenly I don't feel so secure about the security system we have installed.

Finally, I take a seat on the floor in front of her, and I asked her again who put it there.  She very casually confessed that she tried to bring him out into the living room last night, "so he could see it "

What the Heck!

And ***phew...

Mystery solved...

The Dog Might need to go however....
