Different Google Maps
It's strange the places my mind and google can take me...
Today I was thinking about a line in the Movie "Peter Lundy and the Medicine Hat Stallion" I couldn't find the quote, so I did the next best thing and looked for it on Youtube.
When I couldn't find if there, I watched the one part of the movie that was on there, and suddenly thought of another horse movie I love, The Horse in The Gray Flannel Suit! So I searched that in youtube. There's only one clip of that one as well and in the description it mentions the girl riding the horse...
So I opened a new browser and went to my favorite movie destination, IMDB. I found the movie and the cast names, and began reading a few bios... S.J. Clemens of course the first one.
Back to Youtube I couldnt help but look up Phar Lap. After watching and tearing up at many of those clips from both the movie and real footage of the actual horse and his races, I ventured back to IMDB.
I continued down through "Aspercel's" cast... next was the dreamy Archer Madison, then Dean and then I noticed Helen Bolton, the lucky girl that gets the horse! Her real name was Ellen which I found ironic, so I clicked to see what other movies she had done. There were none. In fact I was surprised to see that The Horse in the Gray Flannel Suit was the only movie she had ever made... and saddened to learn she died in her early 20's in a house fire in L.A. Prior to her death, she had done some singingand finally left show biz to become a Primal Therapist.
Next I googled 'primal therapist'. According to Wikipedia it was a kind of Therapy introduced by none other then her father who wrote books on the subject. Something to do with reinacting pain from a childhood trauma to cope. Its not well regarded in today's society as there is no proof to back up his theories. But none the less. I had never heard of... and now I have!
Interesting the things we don't know in general and the things we don't know about people that may have changed your life. Lord knows her character Helen Bolton changed mine.
Googles funny that way... leads you down all kinds of mouse clicking roads...
... a sort of different kind of google maps I guess.
okay ...
