Ellie Stories
Here's just a few things Ellie has said recently (mostly today) that are worth repeating...
The other morning in a playful moment Ellie pulled her undies over one butt cheek and said "Kiss my Butt." When Brett and I both began to correct her, she giggled and quickly changed it to, "My butt's gonna kiss you!" and giggled some more while wiggling it wildly...
Recently she's been asking me to tell her stories. She likes to hear me talk about when I was little, or adventures I've had. Today when I ran out of material, she began telling her own stories that got quiet silly. In her one story we were camping, there was a bear that she beat up, then kicked into the camp fire and he cooked. "Then you know what I did?" she asked with a big grin. "I ate him with a Marshmallow!"
... we laughed....
Next she continues with another story, but this one is about a horse. She says, " there was a horse. Of course." She took a breath and I burst out laughing! She didn't know why that was funny but we both laughed pretty hard at that.

Later this evening we're in my room, she's sitting on the bed as I fold clothes and we're playing with her name. Stuck on Batson, we go through, Baterito, Bateroo and I say in my best Umpire voise, "Batter Up!!" and Ellie says real quietly, "batter down..." (can you tell we no watch baseball?)
Lastly she won't go to bed without finishing watching E.T. Obsessed with flowers Ellie is bothered that E.T. is taking the flowers with him when he leaves... she doesn't get the symbolism. Finally she says all sad, "I wish I had a space ship so that I could go get the flowers back from him." She's a sweet kid.
Okay, that's enough about how amazing my kid is...
okay, one more thing... Amazed by worms in the drive way today, Grandma let her bring two home from the school parking lot. She held them in her tiny hands on the way home apparently telling them how cute they were. She determined that one was a girl and one was a boy... and they were getting married!
The End
