The New Foal

SOOOO Weird

Last Saturday.  The day of the supposed "Rapture" (end of the world)  the day  the 2011 Preakness was run, Ellie and I decided to watch Casey's Shadow in honor of the horse race.  Won by a horse I picked because he looked like Shadow.

She was amazed watching him be born and asked me a million questions about the baby we were waiting for at the farm, and doesn't Julie call with the news of a beautiful little Stud Colt!   YAY! I couldn't wait to bring Ellie over to meet him in the morning!

He is an adorable little boy by a TB mare and sired by Acheiva.  They are calling him E.T. but I suggested Elliot.  I'm not sure what they decided on.

I do know this however....

.... in my next life I wanna be Ellen Batson. That day she got to watch a foal go outside with his mama for the very first time.  We watched him timidly walk out, trot, and finally canter on his extremely long legs in the small paddock!

Next she pick buttercups, rode Fox, and lastly met a woman who was driving around with a Parrot on her shoulder ... parrot being her favorite part.  When we returned home, she played in the back yard, singing to herself as she collected worms in a dog bowl...while I did grown up thing.

What was I thinking...

Ellie! wait up!!
