Ellen's Day

Miss Ellen Batson had a great day today!

Her 4th birthday began with awaking to a furry pink boa laying next to her in bed.  After cuddling with mommy and some cartoon action, her Father greeted her with Flowers and a very sparkley disco hat that came straight out of 1976!

Today's breakfast was a large chocolate sunday with Ready-whip and strawberries on top!

Ellen dressed herself this morning in silver sparkle tights (no pants of any kind) a green Lucky Irish Charm T-shirt that on any other day she would shun, and of course topped it off with the sparkle hat and boa!  She was off to Grandma's, where the landscaper gave her a one dollar coin.

Grandma convinced her to dawn some shorts over her tights and they were off!  Grandma took Ellie to Toys R Us where she picked out a Rupunzel Dress, Hair, and Purse along with a stuffed Siamese cat she of course named Skippyjon Jones

From there she took her to the Rough N' Tumble for some rough and tumbling fun!

Ellen finally came home full of things to tell us, but stopped dead in her tracks when I told her she needed to get cleaned up to go shoe shopping!  (she's such a girl!)

On the way out to the car she spotted a moth that she chased all over our yard like a crazy person until she finally caught it, placing him safely into her bug hut.  She then brought it with us to the shoe store.  There we found a pair of Jell Flip Flops that light up as she steps, and ordered 2 other pairs.  She picked Crocs but wanted pink so they had to be ordered, and pink sketchers with bling and peace signs on them that were not in stock in her size.  I'm not a fan of the peace signs, but she liked them, so we were all set.

Happy with her shoes, we were on our way home where she could not wait to show Daddy her moth!  She talked about him the entire way home...

Before dinner time we released the moth back into the wild.  Spaghetti dinner done, it was time for Friendly's Ice Cream and presents!  Ellen also received a Tiger Lily head band, a Daisy hair clip, a Rupunzel Huffy Scooter, and lastly a Rescue Pet Mommy that had two tiny puppies in her belly which Ellie named Cookie and Jim... yup, Jim!  We filled out their adoption papers as Daddy began assembly on the scooter.  Ellen helped him do the entire thing and the next thing we knew she was knee pad and helmet clad and we took it for a spin!

Down to the cul-de-sac we stopped to get a birthday hug from Mary Kay and then rode like the wind home!  Lucky for us, Nicky returned home from an ice cream run just as we got to his house, so in lightening speed he appeared on his bicycle and the two were off!

Finally.... I got this child in the house, bathed and it was snack time.  She shared some chips and dip with her dad then wrestled with him before they both got their jammies on for bed time...

Ellen Noel had a pretty awesome 4th birthday and we could not love her more!

She's remains the biggest dream we've ever had come true...
