Proud Parents!
We had a very proud moment today at our daughter's Pre School Thanksgiving Feast!
The children were invited up on stage to sing a few songs they had prepared. She of course stood with her best friend as I took video.
Next the teacher handed them each a certificate stating why the teacher was grateful for each and everyone of them. Ellen was almost last to receive hers.
Mr.s Roach read it aloud, "we are grateful for you because you speak up for yourself and others."
awe...
She began walking towards Ellie to hand her the certificate and stopped, turned to the cafeteria full of parents and family and added, "This child is going to save the world some day, I'm certain of it!"
... I tried very hard not to cry ....
(of course I did not expect that so I had switched to still pictures on the camera to get her and her certificate and missed recording such a wonderful compliment paid to our 4 year old.)
