Singing Rudolph

Last Sunday - what we will affectionately refer to as Black Sunday we reviewed our ads, and planned our day... 1st out to breakfast then we hit some stores making Lowes our last stop for Ellie's singing Rudolph!   {If we save it for last we can hold going to get it over her head all morning it guarantees good behavior ... now what can I hold over Brett's! }

The day prior Brett bought her a little singing Rudolph from Lowe's.  It was the last one in the store and 3 hours after it came home, it stopped singing.  My daughter was heart broken.

That evening we took it back to the store and they did confirm that it was the last and we could check the other stores.  As we walked to the truck Ellen and I both burst into tears in the parking lot.  She did not want to leave her Rudolph behind in the hardware store... I might have had some misplaced stress over the earlier sale of my horse...

Sunday morning we ate a horrible breakfast in Rome and then the hunt for the singing Rudolph was on!!!  We hit another Lowe's.  They had one there and it did not sing at all.  Next stop was the third and last Lowe's in the area... they had one left!  SCORE!
We Got it!  We headed home victorious with my sweet little girl hugging and petting her new Rudolph in the back seat.  She pressed his ear maybe 3 times to listen to him sing.

We make it home, she walks up to her dog and Says, "Look Ryder I got a new Rudolph!"  Presses his ear to sing, and it shuts off... never to work again.  - once again disappointment for four year old girl

I emailed the manufacturer immediately.  This is no longer Lowe's problem, but rather them making a faulty toy.  It's been over a week, but they have responded to my emails and offered to send me a new one.

Now let's hope that one works...

In the mean time - Ellie loves her Rudolph and takes him every where.  So I guess it was not a total loss.
